This friendly nature continues outside of the home as well, whether he or she is being taken for a walk, accompanying you on errands or with you at a social gathering.

This friendly, accepting nature immediately changes, however, when you are faced with a potential threat.

Most people will go through life without ever being threatened. What becomes more important in everyday life is how well behaved is this new member of your family.

Our dogs are taught to obey your command said once in a normal tone, regardless of the situation. In addition to this complete off-leash control are impeccable manners from day one. Also included is customizing your dog's training to your specific needs, lifestyle and personal preferences. All to ensure you dog really is a "highly trained exclusive companion".

The presence of a large German Shepherd will usually deter the less experienced of criminals. If the appearance is not enough an intense display of aggression will usually stop most others. The problem is what if the threat is not deterred by the presence of a dog? What if your dog showing aggression does not stop them? A use of force will likely be needed.

The violence in most cases is not the result of being a valued target, or of resistance. It's the result of someone willing to cause harm during a robbery or home invasion, and their state of mind at the time.

Our Executive Protection Dogs provide for all three: a visible deterrent; a response of aggression to stop a potential threat and the ability to use force (attack) and the skills to back it up if necessary.

Statistically most threats are initiated at close range and appear suddenly. The perpetrator lays in wait until their victim has just stepped out of their vehicle, opened their garage door or entered their house. The strategy is to be fast, have it be unexpected and to then overwhelm. It's the same whether a targeted crime or a crime of opportunity.

This pattern is the same whether it is a targeted crime or a crime of opportunity. Almost always people are caught off guard and are without a defense.

Solutions

A solution to the challenges of using a protection dog as a means of defense is found within our Executive Protection Dog Program. At the heart of this program are Advanced Handler Protection Skills™ including the "Secure" exercise. Should there be a threat at any time, and at any level, this is the one exercise you would turn to as a means of defense.

When given the Secure command instantly your Executive Protection Dog does three things: immediately comes to your side, turns on (goes from 0 to 10 instantly with aggression) and positions him or herself between you and anyone that is approaching. Your dog does this all while off leash and without restraint. This includes whether you are standing still, sitting or lying down. If walking, the dog will perform whether you are walking forward, sideways or backwards. It doesn't matter.

The dog takes this exercise to such an extreme that if a person is approaching you from behind while you are walking down the street or across your yard the dog will turn around, face the person behind you, walk backwards by your side while showing aggression! Not only extremely function but a very convincing deterrent.

This exercise also enables you to focus on what is most important to you: getting yourself and those you care most about into as safe a place as possible. If the threat is someone unexpectedly entering your property, your focus may be picking up your children to bring into the house. You focus on your children while your dog focuses on protecting all of you.

While the "Secure" exercise is by far the most useful our Executive Protection Dog program includes a host of other commands, or options, as to how your dog protects including the Aggressive Alert, Directed Alert, Covert Alert, Attack, Directed Attack, Covert Secure, Protective Escape, search of home and property, Release, Recall (stop attack after already being sent) and Turn Off.

All of these commands are backed up by training in the advanced fighting skills required to manage a violent attacker, or multiple attackers.

Our trainers will acclimate your new dog to your home and family. They will also provide a comprehensive program of handling instruction over 3 day period to ensure your dog responds to you on the same level as he or she responds to us.

Personal delivery is also available on an international basis. Deliveries outside of the United States are charged for the additional time required for travel.
